LHMS opens a Little Free Library

Long Hill Montessori School is honored to announce that it has opened a Little Free Library. "We are thrilled to give the families and community of Long Hill Township the opportunity to access and exchange books, and to spread our love of reading and learning," said Kelly Legiec, co-owner of LHMS.

In honor of new beginnings, lifelong learners and the amazing teachers who lay foundations for us, LHMS families commissioned the library from artist Matthew Roberts of Dreaming Tree Woodworks. (Facebook users can watch a video of Matthew at work

From the Little Free Library website:

“To promote literacy and the love of reading by building free book exchanges worldwide and to build a sense of community as we share skills, creativity and wisdom across generations. There are nearly 40,000 Little Free Library book exchanges around the world, bringing curbside literacy home and sharing millions of books annually.”

The miracle of life: Our eggs from Quiver Farms

This past Monday, the eggs started hatching. Ten new friends joined us during the week (and sadly, two did not make it).  We had fun cuddling them once they turned into fluffy, soft little birds.
